A French Empire ormolu and marble lyre mantel clock by Thomire & Cie, circa 1810
Description
8-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed for the bronzier Thomire & Cie and the clockmaker Moinet ainé Hger, fine gilt Breguet hands, 8-day movement with anchor escapement and silk suspended pendulum, counthweel half hour striking on a bell, lyre shaped ormolu case with classical relief and patinated sides, rectangular black marble base with a relief of a classical lady with tambourine, plinth with acanthus relief.
