17.5-cm engraved brass dial with Roman numerals and signed I.Couchon A Paris, blued steel pierced hour hand and brass alarm disc, weight driven movement with verge escapement and silk susended pendulum of 30-hour duration, countwheel half hour striking on a bell, alarm, surmounted by five urn finials, finely pierced and engraved front fret and plain frets to the sides, iron doors and later wall bracket
