Description
Enamel dial
The 7-cm enamel dial has Roman numerals has Roman numerals and is fitted in a brass bezel. The foliate pierced and engraved hands and alarm disc are made of brass.
Verge escapement
The movement is driven by two weights and is of thirty hour duration. It is regulated by verge escapement in combination with a silk suspended pendulum. The clock has half hour striking on a bell by means of a countwheel. There is also an alarm that strikes on the bell.
Lefebvre
On top of the brass case is a bell cross on four urn finals which is surmounted by a fifth urn finial. To the front and sides are foliate pierced cast brass frets. below the dial is a signature plate inscribed; A Fontainebleau Lefebvre. The whole is hung on the wall by a hoop and spurs.
