9-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel Breguet hands, 8-day spring driven movement with anchor escapement and silk suspended pendulum, countwheel half hour striking on a bell, fitted in a gilt bronze table with a table cloth and claw feet surmounted by an oil lamp, with classical lady sitting on a patinated bronze chair while reading a book, rectangular plinth with high relief moulding and verde antico marble plinth raised on toupee feet
