Description
14-cm true enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, shaped and arched brass plate with foliate pierced spandrels signed Ste. Rimbault London, date aperture below a polychrome painted scene with drum makers in the arch, their arms connected to the going train of the 8-day spring driven fusee movement with verge escapement, quarter chiming and playing hourly 1 of 2 melodies with 14 hammers on 7 bells, hour striking on a bell, ebonized case with true bell top surmounted by a handle and four pine apple finials, herm-and-trailing-flowers to the canted corners, shaped glazed panels in the doors with finely engraved pierced brass frets, moulded base with a brass plinth raised on bracket feet.
