A Dutch mahogany stick barometer by P. Wast circa 1770

Description

The finely engraved silvered brass plates are signed P. Wast en Zoonen Amsterdam. The case is veneered with fine mahogany of rich colour. The whole is surmounted by a broken pediment with an ornamental urn. The cistern cover has a finely carved foliate ornament and an urn finial below.
