Description

The movement

The movement is driven by springs and has a duration of eight days. It therefore needs to be wound once a week. It has pinwheel escapement and half hour countwheel striking on a bell.

The dial

The ormolu dial has a fine guilloche engraved pattern and a rosette in the center. It has Roman numerals and blued steel Breguet hands. The bezel consists of relief flowers.

The Case

The movement is houses in the bob of a fine gilt compensated gridiron pendulum knife-edge suspended from the mahogany veneered case. The stepped moulded top is supported by four well shaped columns with fine ormolu capitals and bases. The base has a foliate pierced ormolu mount. The whole raised on engraved bun feet. All ormolu is well cast, chiseled and of very high quality.
