Description

silvered brass plate, mahogany case.

engraved silvered plate inscribed repaired by G.H. & C. Gowland Sunderland and Improved Sympiesometer, sliding scale to the side and recording disc below, rectangular mahogany case with beveled glass panel.

Inscribed at the back; ‘This belonged to Capt. L. D.Heald Rockport Maine’ and a label; Penobscot Marine Museum.

C. Gowland is registered working Sunderland in 1811 and 1816.
