A large French Charles X mahogany table regulator, A. Pointeaux 1829


14-day precision movement with half hour striking, fine mahogany case with string inlay

silvered dial with Roman numerals signed Aug. Pointeaux and foliate ormolu bezel, subsidiary seconds below XII and blued steel Breguet hands, 14-day spring driven movement with pinwheel escapement, half hour countwheel striking on a bell, heavy gridiron pendulum with gilt bob, fine mahogany case with stepped moulded top supported by four columns, throughout with fine string inlay, mounted on a monumental double plinth raised on flat feet

the front plate of the fine movemen is marked for Pons and one of the springs is dated Mars 1829.
