8-day spring-driven movement with lever escapement and rack half hour striking on a bell, marked for Vincenti & Cie 1855 and Barrard & Vignon rue d’Horlogerie Paris, mounted in a griotte rouge sphere with bronze ring with signs of the Zodiac and Roman numerals, supported by a finely cast patinated bronze figure of Hercules, on a moulded griotte rouge marble plinth
